Whoa. I was not expecting this minimalist pop record to be so compelling. I liked it enough to buy it, but I try not to expect too much.
Warm and inviting, but also bracing and precise, this is indie synthpop played with a joyous love for the source material. Dny, for instance, starts off sounding like New Order's Ceremony before quickly veering into brighter territory.
